CONRAD!

Designed by Novak Djogo and Daniel Joshua Vanderhorst, Conrad is now standing tall outside KCFF headquarters at the Broom Factory (305 Rideau Street).

Conrad’s first stop in Kingston was Springer Market Square, where he welcomed KCFF26 festival-goers from February 25 – March 1. On March 9, Conrad crawled onto the back of a flat-bed truck and slowly made his was to his new home at the Broom Factory.

KCFF thanks our pals at RAW Design Inc for letting us pet-sit Conrad, who was originally part of their Winter Stations exhibit (prior to hitching a ride to Kingston). Conrad is just one of our many shared projects and collaborations with RAW. Back in 2021, the two of us co-founded the Broom Factory, which not only functions as KCFF/RAW headquarters, but also hosts tons of film, music, design, and other community events. During the day, KCFF and RAW share office space at the Broom (we’re broom-mates). Our loveable pal Conrad is a symbol of our partnership with RAW and an embodiment of some of our gigantic ideas and future plans.
