CREATIVE INDUSTRIES DAY

KCFF and Queen’s Film & Media present the 3rd annual CREATIVE INDUSTRIES DAY on Friday, February 27 at the Isabel Bader Centre and Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning.

Ideal for students, emerging filmmakers and local industry, this entirely FREE Creative Industries Day will include Panels, Info Sessions and a Networking Mixer/Table Talks with dozens of Festival guests, industry pros, Queen’s alumni, key unions, and organizations involved in film production.

Last year’s event had 1200+ attendees and 500+ individual registrants!  We hosted a cross-section of secondary and post-secondary students as well as local community and filmmakers, with 50+ industry professionals and organizations including:

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, The Directors Guild of Canada – Ontario, IATSE 411, 667 & 873, NABET, Sony, the Toronto International Film Festival, and Women in Film & Television.

New this year: Don’t miss our Interactive Set, where you can step behind the scenes, explore a sample set, meet each department, and talk directly with various crew. Get an up-close look at how a film comes to life!

This event is FREE but space is limited and registration is required. Click on the panels for more information and to register. Please be aware that some of the panels overlap: check the timing so you don’t double-book yourself!

Bios for all Industry Day speakers are available here.
