Opening Night Highlights

We had a fabulous time at last night’s Opening Gala! Many thanks to director Fawzia Mirza for joining us for the Q&A, and to Tulips & Maple for catering our post-show reception. And thanks to all of you who braved the blustery weather to join us!

And over at the Grand Theatre, Godspeed You! Black Emperor played to a packed house.  What a wild night, and it’s only just begun!

It’s day two of the festival and we’re headed downtown! We’ve got screenings kicking off at The Screening Room and the Baby Grand at 4pm. If you’re looking for tickets, you can still grab them from our website, or head to the lower level of The Screening Room after 3pm to visit our pop-up Box Office!

Tonight is the world premiere of AJ Edmonds’ powerful new documentary DARK HIGHWAY at the Baby Grand, a special advance screening of KILL VICTORIA at The Screening Room, and the legendary Bruce McCulloch’s one man show, TALES OF BRAVERY AND STUPIDITY at the Broom. We’ve also got the Makers Meetup happening at the Broom from 4pm – 6pm today (head here to register) and Industry Day will be running tomorrow at the Isabel. The festival is in full swing now, so come on downtown and join the fun!
