Join us at the Broom Factory on Friday, October 27th for Canadian Screen Award nominated writer-director Rama Rau’s latest doc COVEN. A Hot Docs favourite, COVEN follows three women as they explore what it means to be a practicing witch in the 21st century. Rau follows her subjects to Scotland, Romania, and the US as they uncover family histories of witchcraft and persecution, and find a deeper connection to their craft and spirituality. Rau’s lens is intimate and empathetic, bearing witness without casting judgement as the three women engage with ritual and landscape.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with documentary subject Laura Hokstad.
