02 Aug SUMMER SCREENING SERIES: AMANDA STRONG
KCFF is excited to showcase the work of Michif filmmaker, Amanda Strong! On August 13, you can check out a series of her short films (for free!) in the City Hall Amphitheatre, downtown Kingston.
Amanda works mostly in stop-motion filmmaking and has exhibited her films at Cannes, TIFF, VIFF, and even at KCFF! Her compelling visuals, characters and stories challenge historical narratives of Indigenous peoples, while exploring the ideas of blood memory and Indigenous oral story.
We will be showing four of Amanda’s films as a 30 minute set, every half hour starting at 7:30 PM until 10:30 PM. Save the date: Saturday August 13th, in the City Hall Amphitheatre on the south side of the building!
