25 Jan ALL MY PUNY SORROWS to open KCFF22
We’re thrilled to announce that ALL MY PUNY SORROWS will be the official opening night selection for the 2022 Kingston Canadian Film Festival! Director Michael McGowan was last at KCFF in 2012 with his film STILL MINE, which happened to be our opening night selection and People’s Choice winner that year. The lead, Sarah Gadon, was in Kingston not that long ago starring in the television series Alias Grace. When KCFF heard about this title in the fall, we knew it would be a popular opener – the countdown is on for March 3 and KCFF22!
With the recent announcement that theatres will indeed be reopening this February, we’re hopeful that we can deliver some screenings in-person this year! We’re chatting with theatres, distributors, filmmakers, volunteers, and many of our loyal audience in the coming week to determine the best path forward. At minimum, our digital festival (streaming from home) will be available like last season, giving safe and easy access to viewers from all over.
So, stay tuned, we’ll be announcing the lineup and full plans on February 4. Thanks for your continued support and we’re looking forward to a great KCFF22!
