Start March Break at KCFF!

Hey parents!  Not sure what to do on March Break?  The Kingston Canadian Film Fest has you covered!

Family Day Bonus: get 25% off tickets to any of the events listed below only on Monday, February 17. Use the promo code ‘FAMILYDAY’ when you purchase tickets online. Hurry, you don’t have long – the offer expires at midnight!

We have fun film-related events for all ages.  On Saturday, March 14 KCFF will be offering two workshops for kids at the Davies Lounge in the Grand Theatre.   Our COMIC ART STORYTELLING WORKSHOP will give kids 8-12 the chance to learn how to create dynamic characters and how to draw their favourite superheroes. In the ANIMATION WORKSHOP, kids aged 10-13 learn different forms of animation including stop-motion and flip-book animation.

We will also be showing some films that are appropriate for all ages.  We are showing the animated feature film RACETIME, a delightful flick that is adventurous as it is purely Canadian — it’s about a neighbourhood tobogganing race, after all!

We are also showing two inspiring documentaries suitable for slightly older kids and families: WHO FARTED? an eco-doc about global warming that is both hilarious and educational and PIPE DREAMS, a crowd-pleasing documentary about the high-stakes world of the Montreal International Organ Competition… don’t let the instrument fool you, these young organists are as competitive and driven for success as they are musical.
