We’re teaming up with Kingston WritersFest to present a free screening of Call of the Forest — The Forgotten Wisdom of Trees (director Jeff McKay) a documentary featuring scientist and acclaimed author Diana Beresford-Kroeger.

The film follows Diana as she investigates our profound biological and spiritual connection to forests.  During a global exploration, she meets activists, elders, and some of the world’s foremost experts in reforestation. From the sacred sugi and cedar forests of Japan to the great boreal forest of Canada, this stunningly beautiful film takes us through the science, the folklore, and the restoration challenges of this essential eco-system, and explains the critical roles trees play in protecting and restoring the planet.

Diana will be in attendance for a Q+A and book signing after the screening.
